CNC Machinist
Reporting to the Subtractive Manufacturing Manager, the CNC Machinist is Responsible for CNC set up and operation, program editing including:
- Machine set up and operation per setup instructions;
- Machine maintenance and recordkeeping;
- Maintain all cutting tool libraries / develop tool life;
- Manual tasks by assignment;
- Manual AM support removal and detailing;
- Inprocess and final inspections by assignment;
- Interpretation of drawings, manuals, specifications, etc;
- Shopfloor program editing by assignment;
- Shop cleanliness and organization;
- Conform to all quality, safety, and human resource policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
- Post Secondary education in a related field an asset;
- Ability to set up and operate various CNC equipment (2 & 3 axis milling machines, lathes);
- Proficiency in mathematics, measuring tools, power tools, and finishing methods;
- Familiarity with 5S;
- Minimum 1 year experience with 2 and 3 axis CNC operation in a manufacturing environment;
- Able to work in a fastpaced work environment while being detailoriented;
- Excellent people and communication skills;
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physically demanding work;
