Description

The Residential Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of service delivery, administration, team leadership, and supervision of staff within Community Services and in compliance with Excel Society's policies and procedures.


Specific Responsibilities:


1. Ensuring that all Direct Care Workers facilitate a Wellness Support Plan or Individual Support Plan Process (ISP) for each client.


2. Respecting client's rights to confidentiality, privacy, independence, well-being, and choice.


3. Providing emotional support to both clients and staff and using effective problem solving and de-escalation techniques.


4. Keeping Program Manager up to date on all issues with clients and staff.


5. Responding appropriately to emergency situations providing support to both clients and staff.


6. Facilitating service delivery through leadership, guidance, clarifying expectations, and client advocacy.


7. Ensuring all appropriate documentation is completed and submitted by the employees within due dates.


8. Coordinating the renewal of educational and vocational contracts/agreements where applicable.


9. Planning, organizing, and completing all clients funding renewal budgets accurately and on time.


10. Recording and monitoring each work site's operating budget expenditure to ensure costs are kept within the annual budget for any budget responsibilities as assigned by the Program Manager or Director.


11. Assisting the Program Manager in implementing health and safety processes for each community residence and/or program.


12. Ensuring that the community residence and/or program work sites are clean, comfortable, and professional.


13. Facilitating regular monthly Client meetings, staff "team" meetings and attending Leadership meetings.


14. Completing all required employee quarterly goal setting meetings.


15. Participating in the on-call rotation and understanding the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of the on-call system.


16. Updating guardians/families, case managers, funders, and community partners on client concerns as needed.


17. Provide on the spot feedback, coaching, and be involved in the discipline process.


Requirements:


1. Applicable Degree or Diploma in Human Services from a recognized institution, as well as a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.


2. Satisfactory current criminal record check and child intervention check.


3. Proficient with Microsoft Office.


4. Efficient time, stress, and behaviour management skills.


5. Have considerable knowledge and understanding of persons with disabilities, mental health issues, brain injury, and dual diagnosis.


6. Good planning, organizational problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.


7. Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.


8. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.


9. Must have vehicle with insurance coverage as per policy.

Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
From $57,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
