Job Summary:
This is an exciting new role supporting the M&A activities of the Adapt IT Portfolio in South Africa. The role will be based in Toronto.


The key responsibilities are:

  • Understanding and articulating the Adapt IT acquisition criteria and unique value proposition to owners of target software businesses both verbally and in writing.
  • Generating and reporting on leads, setting up qualified appointments and moving opportunities through the M&A pipeline.
  • Conducting research to identify and map out potentially attractive markets to pursue and software companies to acquire.
  • Performing screening of software companies for potential acquisitions in line with the approved M&A strategy.
  • Significantly driving the increase of the acquisition target pipeline.
  • Conducting indicative valuations and financial modelling of identified acquisition prospects.
  • Contributing to the due diligence aspect of the M&A cycle.
  • Managing and reporting on our Salesforce database.
  • Contributing to the coaching of newly acquired as well as established Group businesses, as required.
  • Performing any other reasonable duties as required.
