Used by banks, credit unions, money services businesses (MSBs), casinos and FinTech's to comply with global anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, Alessa also serves organizations in the retail, healthcare, insurance, and other corporate sectors with its continuous controls monitoring and fraud detection and prevention capabilities.

Alessa was acquired from CaseWare in 2021 and has 75 people supporting 150 global customers. Alessa's investors are led by Wavecrest Growth Partners with participation from MassMutual Ventures and Salesforce Ventures.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage client onboarding and upgrade projects end to end following standard processes for our midsize to enterprise clients.
  • Lead detailed planning at all levels to understand the work, responsibilities, and dependencies to set the right expectations, ultimately enabling ontime delivery.
  • Define, create, and maintain project management artifacts/project collaterals, such as sprint plans, meeting minutes, project governance documents, status reports, and kickoff decks. This includes ensuring stories, tasks, epics are complete and have sufficient detail in JIRA and Smartsheet.
  • Proactively manage client expectations, across scope, schedule, and budgetary factors, employing project change control and/or escalation issues where necessary and on a timely basis.
  • Collaborate with peers, your team, and stakeholders across the entire Alessa organization to ensure quality project outcomes.
  • Effectively manage financial/budget and navigate financial processes to ensure approval of funding and disciplined cost management.
  • Organize, define, and facilitate internal and client meetings, meeting minute creation, action item followups.
  • Lead resource management support including roll on roll off, resource tracking and reporting.
  • Communicate project management financials and delivery status to the relevant stakeholders in a proactive fashion on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for securing milestone signoffs, final deployment, and postmortems.
  • Drive bestinclass project management techniques, contribute to the Alessa Project best practices, and communicate business impact as part of the PMO.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field (or equivalent work experience) coupled with 2 years progressive clientfacing project management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including client relations, mentoring, coaching, collaboration, and team building.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
  • PMP and experience working with Scrum/Kanban or other Agile methodologies.
  • Working towards or achieved PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent is an asset.
  • Experience with JIRA or Smartsheet reporting is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Mandatory Requirements:


  • Project experience in implementing Risk Management software.
  • Experience with AML, Fraud Detection, or Risk management.
  • Experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level.
  • Some timeshifting and/or travel within Canada, the USA and overseas may be required (approx. 10% expected).
