  • Providing the first point of contact in the International Centre for both internal (students, college staff) and external (community members, applicants, stakeholders) and triaging and/or resolving any issues/questions brought forth
  • Utilizing customer service queue management systems (MyGCLife, Qnomy) and student information systems (Banner, OCAS-IAS, AppXtender) to assess and help resolve issues and inputting information
  • Providing the public and students with current and accurate information on Georgian programs, services and events across all campuses
  • Maintaining a list of all current events/contacts/important dates and directing visitors as required
  • Welcoming international visitors, delegations, prospects, applicants and community visitors
  • Assisting with the training and monitoring of student coops and Student Ambassadors working in the international centre
  • Supporting current students with wayfinding and answering general inquiries regarding college services
  • Arranging Georgian promotional material and resources around the International Centre and managing the cleanliness of both the reception area, student lounge and storage room
  • Supporting all on and off campus events organized by the Globalization Coordinator /International Community Engagement Coordinator by providing administrative support and promotion
  • Coordinating meetings, booking rooms for events, booking student appointments as required
  • Tracking and verifying student enrolment status, registration records (outstanding fees/status/FT vs PT), visa status, arrival status and other factors as directed by Manager
  • Running reports and forecasting needs of students/agents and providing solutions to the recruitment and global engagement teams to enhance service delivery
  • Ensuring that specific procedures and documentation requirements for international student onboarding are all correctly adhered to
  • Maintaining secure storage of confidential records and hardcopy file management and recycling/shredding documents as necessary
  • Demonstrating Qnomy queue kiosk ticket dispensing to students and ensuring queue kiosk is working, clean and stocked
  • Collaborating with department staff to identify any trends related to atrisks students and creating proactive supports to assist with student success and navigation of services
  • Helping coordinate communication plans with the Marketing Specialist, Globalization Coordinator and planning for new arrivals/late arrivals
  • Maintaining knowledge of IRCC policy and regulations and travel restrictions as they impact international applicants

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Successfully completed a twoyear postsecondary diploma in Office or Business Administration, Business or another related field
  • A minimum of two years' experience of customer service working in a fastpaced environment
  • Experience working with many cultures is considered an asset
  • Must be fluent in English, ability to communicate in a second language other than French is considered an asset
  • Experience and knowledge with Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong customer service, conflict resolution and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent crosscultural and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time, multitask and meet provided deadlines
