About this Opportunity

Financial Services works to deliver the best possible service to all its stakeholders including WFN members, non-member residents, local businesses, and to WFN departments and employees.

The Accounts Receivable/Revenue Analyst is responsible for working on the revenue side of the company's finances.

This position is responsible for many records and payment-related transactions and maintaining the accounts receivable for all programs and departments of Westbank First Nation, band operated businesses, as well as maintaining the Accounts Receivable for funding.

  • Ensure customer information in Accounts Receivable is up to date; new accounts added in a timely manner and inactivated as required
  • Ensure that deferred revenues are accrued correctly in the WFN finance system
  • Liaise with department managers to ensure that all invoices are issued properly, on time, and credited to the correct revenue code
  • Process, issue, and post all invoices for Westbank First Nation
  • Complete monthly reconciliation of the Accounts Receivable and Utilities sub ledger to the general ledger control accounts, preparing any adjusting entries as required
  • Liaise with the Funding Coordinator to ensure that all funding contracts and agreements are accrued correctly

Must Haves:


  • Postsecondary education (Certificate or Diploma) in finance/accounting is required
  • Certified aboriginal Financial Management (CAFM) certification is an asset
  • 2 years' experience in an accounting department working in accounts receivable, collections, utilities, and cash receipting
  • Previous experience with Vadim Software and Ultipro Software preferred
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities/people considered an asset
  • Criminal Record Check with results acceptable to WFN
