Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (RVYC), established in 1903, is a prestigious and highly regarded private club located in the heart of Kitsilano.

With a rich history and picturesque waterfront location, the Club offers an exceptional venue for our esteemed Members.


RVYC is currently seeking an organized, personable, and dedicated professional to join our front desk team as a
Front Desk Team Lead.

In this role, you will supervise and provide support to all front-desk staff.


Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk area operations.
  • Supervise, hire, train, and schedule front desk staff.
  • Maintain frontdesk safety standards and records.
  • Create systems and processes for frontdesk operations.
  • Warmly and professionally greet Members, visitors, and guests.
  • Offer guidance and information about the Club's facilities, programs, events and services.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and exceed Member expectations.
  • Learn about the club, its members, the traditions and programs in order to provide information about upcoming events and dates.
  • Other frontdesk duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Completion of highschool/GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in a role that required leadership or supervisory skills.
  • Experience in creating staff schedules, maintaining accurate timesheets.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a busy environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Flexible availability; this is a fulltime position but hours may vary depending on Club events and frontdesk needs.
  • Knowledge of sailing or yacht club operations is desirable, but not mandatory.
