Qualifications:
- 23 years' experience in social media/content creation
- You're a strategic problem solver who's selfmotivated, productive, and efficient.
- Thirst for creativity and storytelling. Able to create compelling content, uncover creative angles, and craft interesting stories.
- You have a sharp eye for detail and are consistent.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and use social data to affect change.
Key Accountabilities:
Corporate Communications
- Support the execution of an overarching corporate marketing strategy that connects back to the MLA Canada's brand, purpose, and business development initiatives
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize content and platforms for performance and community engagement opportunities
- Support the communications team with other initiatives and campaigns as directed by our Director of Corporate Marketing
There are 3 key performance indicators to this role: Content Planning, Content Creation and Community Management.
Content Planning
- Prepare and develop an organized monthly content calendar that aligns with the brand strategy and business objectives
- Develop briefs and storyboard digital content for brand campaigns
- Analyze performance statistics on a weekly and monthly basis so you can recommend what's working and what's not to refine our content strategies.
- Monthly review with manager on performance indicators and your recommendations for optimization
- Create and edit content for various audiences that is consistent with MLA Canada brand tone of voice, a keen eye for detail, and excellent grammar. We expect the work submitted to be a finished product. Your manager will review for strategic alignment for content and deliverables.
- Create static and short videos for digital and social media channels including but are not limited to Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
- Basic design skills to create visuals for brand storytelling
- Copywriting for social media content with content and hashtags tailored for each platform.
- Sourcing user generated content online for reposting/sharing.
- Maintaining all assets in an organized manner.
- Implement campaigns to drive traffic to content assets by leveraging search, social media, and paid advertising in collaboration with the Digital Media Manager
- Setting and achieving community engagement and growth goals
- Stay uptodate on emerging social media trends and best practices to continually improve our social media strategy
- Follow industry related news and generate ideas around trending topics, best practices, using new technologies, tools, and programs
- Manage online social channels daily to answer and monitor questions for the purpose of improving our followers' overall brand experience and drive engagement
