Machine Operator - SMT

Weekend Shift :
Friday-Sunday 6am-6:30pm

The SMT Machine Operator is responsible to operate the SMT Machine and other related equipment as well as to coordinate and organize SMT machine operation.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

SMT Machine Operation
Operates the scale, tape and reel counter, vacuum sealer machine and the parts programming machine
Understands the operation of the pick and place machines
Inventory storage systems such as FIFO
Packaging and labeling requirements
Moves/creates bin boxes and performing cycle counts
Communicates issues to the Team Leader
Hand placement of SMT components
Setsup and operates the SMT Reflow Oven
Provides feedback for quality, efficiency and productivity of the SMT Line

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in the operation of SMT equipment is an asset
Experience in electronics manufacturing is preferred
Strong communication skills in both written and oral English
Computer literate (i.e. Windows, Excel, Word)

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Physical Demands

May, on occasion, spend an extended amount of time standing or walking in a production environment
The incumbent must possess enough strength to safely maneuver around product up to 25lbs without injury to themselves or others

Mental Demands

Capable of accepting and completing work assignments with mínimal supervision in a highly motivated manner, fast paced and highpressure situations

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally clean; however, the incumbent may be exposed occasionally to dust
The incumbent is required to wear ESD and safety gears while working in safety sensitive areas
