Business Development Manager -Sales, where you will be responsible for developing and expanding the customer base and certain pre-identified existing accounts to service those accounts with the objective of increasing those account.

Provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with the company goals and objectives.

80% of time spent on new business or growth, with 20% of the time on managing and maintaining existing accounts.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acquire new accounts using a strategic approach to increasing sales revenue and to drive growth with prospects within a specific target of customers looking for 3PL Warehousing and Transport services.
  • Achieve new business growth goals assigned, typically set at $1.5M annual billed revenue growth over the prior year end billed revenue numbers (excluding fuel and taxes).
  • Maintain administrative processes on a weekly basis, include but not limited to: various reports, CRM updates
  • Prepares account plans for all existing significant accounts, with QBR activity and reporting.
  • Responsible for servicing accounts, information management, monthly reporting, training, and meeting set targets.
  • Responsible for revenue attainment, customer satisfaction and revenue retention.
  • Consult with new customers after sales or signed contracts to resolve problems and/or ongoing support and customer service.
  • Complete the new customer onboarding program and checklist detailing both customer and operational requirements for all new key accounts or significant expansion within existing accounts.
  • Knowledgeable about all services and benefits Remco can provide and educating customers. Provide clients with presentations (i.e. PowerPoint) on the benefits and uses of our services.
  • Understanding the operations side of the business to ensure there is a good match with the customer's needs and the services we provide.
  • Communicate with operations management on an regular basis
  • Periodically assist in training and working with account supervisors/managers managing current customers.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • University Degree or equivalent college diploma in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Logistics.
  • 3 plus years of sales experience in LTL transportation preferred.
  • Dedicated hunter mentality.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Energetic, selfstarter.
  • Excellent polite and persuasive communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Passionate, hard worker and well organized professional with power to prioritize and multitask
  • Flexible to work in nonbusiness hours.
  • Able to operate in different work conditions such as onsite, off site.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good liaison with all other departments.
  • Able to work in team.
