Early and highly personalized communication with prospective students is fundamental to recruitment and the Recruitment & Admissions Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting this process.
The successful incumbent will provide input into the development and implementation of the recruitment and admissions strategies for these programs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Fostering and maintaining a network of external contacts to support recruitment strategies
- Analyzing administrative processes and procedures and recommending changes for improvement
- Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities
- Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials
- Advising potential applicants, students, parents, and/or guidance counselors on admissions criteria and processes by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences
- Providing detailed information regarding admission requirements to prospective students and applicants
- Preparing recruitment and admission reports
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications or related field or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum four years related experience in recruitment, admissions, sales or marketing environment.
- Experience writing marketing correspondence and preparing presentations
- Experience in planning and coordinating large and small group events and programs
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service and advising students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet competing priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in a student information system and Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel
- Ability to multitask; strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of data bases and, ROSI is particular, is an asset.
- Ability to communicate in one or more languages other than English is a definite asset.
- Able to deal effectively with a multicultural, diverse pool of mature prospects and applicants.
