Role:


Reporting to the Manager, Agency Governance, the Governance Analyst will:

  • Coordinate the recruitment and appointment process for more than 40 legislated ABCs in accordance with the Government of Alberta's established process, policy and legislation.
  • Consult with program areas to assess governance needs and work collaboratively with managers to develop responses including commencing/dissolving public agencies, governance issues identification and mitigation strategies.
  • Administer support and participate in projects/requests related to the Agency Governance Unit and Planning and Operations Branch's activities as required.
  • Provide backup support to the unit such as providing coverage for the PS
  • Assist with the compensation disclosure process for the department.
  • Assist with secretariat support to the Public Health Appeal Board and the Hospital Privileges Appeal Board.

Qualifications:


Education:


  • University graduation in a related field; no experience required; or equivalent as described below:

  • Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
  • Education related to Public Administration, Law and Project Management is required for this role.

Experience:


  • Experience working on projects related to public bodies or services is preferred.
  • Public facing and customer focused process experience preferred.

Salary:

$2,310.48 to $3,030.81 Bi-weekly ($60,303 to $79,104/year).
