Job Description Summary:


Job Key Contributions/Task:


  • Provide technical expertise to the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of end user computing devices including desktop computers, laptops, printers, and mobile (PDA) type devices.
  • Manage Azure AD end user accounts, permissions and access rights in accordance with bestpractices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and develop new functionality on SharePoint and WordPress internal websites.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and purchases.
  • Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
  • Participate in the development of technology roadmap for systems and software.
  • Manage procurement lifecycle by working with new and existing vendors on new purchases while coordinating with the internal accounting team.
  • Participate in negotiations with vendors, manufacturers, and contractors to secure products and services on behalf of Apple Express.

Qualifications and experience:


  • Strong
    communication (verbal/written) and
    interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
  • Proven track record in being very
    customer focused and having a good understanding of the needs of our employees.
  • 5+ years
    of handson technical experience as a support specialist in a fast paced, high demand corporate environment.
  • 5+ years of handson working experience in utilizing your
    problemsolving & decisionmaking skills to provide both technical support and enthusiastic customer service.
  • Demonstrate your
    expert technical knowledge on all aspects of enduser computing, deal with complex technical issues, which include PC's, Laptops, Tablets, Mobile Devices, Video Conference and A/V equipment, Networking & Printers.
  • Proven expert knowledge in the use and support of
    Office 365 Suite; including Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, Intune, SharePoint, Azure AD, Flow.
  • Working knowledge of basic website support using
    WordPress.
  • Good understanding and implementation experience of applicable
    data privacy and security practices.
  • Previous experience in supporting physical security and access control systems considered an asset.
  • Experience with cloud based VOIP Systems is considered an asset.
  • Basic understanding of firewalls, switches, routing, vLANs, DNS, DHCP, QoS, VPN, SAN, NAS.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and in collaboration with the team.
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Information Systems and/or 4+ years equivalent work experience.

Work Conditions:


  • 40hour onsite work week with oncall availability for 10 days per month.
  • 5% travel required.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.

Language Skills:

English is the principal language for this position.

This position requires good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
