Responsibilities:

Draft and review commercial and residential leases, promisetopurchase contracts, and lease renewal agreements.
Conduct legal property due diligence, ensuring compliance with all relevant Quebec and Canadian laws and regulations.
Collaborate with external legal firms to address complex legal issues and ensure effective representation when necessary.
Maintain and update corporate books, ensuring all legal documents are accurately recorded and organised.
Provide legal guidance and support to internal teams, particularly in matters related to real estate transactions and property management.
Stay abreast of changes in Quebec and Canadian real estate laws and regulations to ensure the company's ongoing compliance.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited Canadian law school.
Admitted to the bar in Quebec.
2 years of experience practising real estate law, with a focus on Quebec and Canadian commercial and residential transactions.
Proven experience in drafting and negotiating leases, promisetopurchase contracts, and conducting legal due diligence.
Strong knowledge of Quebec and Canadian corporate governance and experience in maintaining corporate books.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working inhouse for a Quebecbased real estate or property management company.
Familiarity with local and provincial real estate regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$80,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
