Other events on an as-needed basis, various locations in the GTA Left Field Liberty Village is taking our kitchen on the road this summer We'll be popping-up at all Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Games at the concession stands in Christie Pits park, at the Leslieville brewery every Friday afternoon, and more Left Field Brewery is a small, community-minded business with a mission to create joy through beer.

SUMMARY

As our Event Cook at Left Field Brewery, your role is greater than just preparing great tasting food for our guests.

The Event Cook is responsible for the execution of all food menu items at pop-ups in an accurate and efficient manner.

In order for the pop-ups to run smoothly, this role requires the individual to be organized and detail-oriented.

The Event Cook plays a key role in ensuring that the business consistently delivers high-quality food products by maintaining a clean food-safe environment while working cohesively with the rest of the Events team to support the successful execution of the menu from preparation to presentation.


KEY ROLES:


  • Is professional, enthusiastic, energetic and demonstrates a genuine positive demeanor throughout the shift while working collaboratively with all team members
  • Ensures every guest receives a home run Left Field Brewery food experience
  • Communicates with the Assistant Events Manager and Chef to receive updates on product, inventory, projected shift sales and upcoming events and promotions
  • Manages food quality, portion control and plate presentation through 100% recipe adherence responsible for all onsite food quality oversight
  • Monitors and maintains high kitchen and equipment cleanliness standards
  • Practices safe food handling and overall kitchen safety and ensures the Events team is compliant with safe food handling requirements
  • Complete understanding of and adherence to F.I.F.O. and product yield requirements
  • Ensures thorough completion of all operational checklists
  • Prepares unsold ingredients/food for transport/return to Liberty Village kitchen
  • Proactively communicates prep food and supplies inventory replenishment needs with management
  • Communicates kitchen equipment cleaning, maintenance and troubleshooting with management
  • Maintains the work area, including all counter tops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition and in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Ensures station is stocked and ready for service
  • Ensures proper rotation, labelling, and dating of all products
  • Ensures all products are prepared, held, and served at correct temperatures
  • Setsup and maintains a highimpact, clean and tidy branded preparation, cooking and serving area
  • Cash handling including use of mobile POS and credit/debit processing
  • Setup, break down, and clean event booth area and supplies
  • Drafts and/or contributes to postevent reports and communications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Culinary experience in a fullservice or quick service restaurant environment
  • Food Handlers Certificate and W.H.M.I.S. certification
  • Class G license and clean driving record are considered an asset, but not mandatory
  • Ability to work 100% of event dates, listed below
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal
  • Must be able to carry and lift
