Left Field Brewery is a small, community-focused family business with a mission to create joy through beer. We also happen to love baseball, a theme that is interwoven through all facets of our brand.


The delivery driver is a member of the sales team and completes the last piece of the brewery's sales as the final point of delivery.

This individual works closely with the Events, Home Delivery, Licensee and Retail sales teams. Deliveries take place throughout the GTA. This role currently reports to the Licensee Sales Manager.


Responsibilities:


  • Pick and pack packaged beer, merchandise, raw materials and supplies, according to picksheets
  • Load product into delivery vehicles and safely secure loads
  • Prepare and inspect vehicle before and after each route
  • Drive a delivery van in accordance with Ontario Motor Vehicle Safety standards
  • Follow GPS route to deliver orders to personal residences, events, bars, restaurants and retail locations
  • Communicate with customers via phone and text message prior to delivery
  • Collect empty kegs and payments
  • Ensure delivery accuracy and provide exceptional customer service while on delivery
  • Complete and submit paperwork and maintain required records in a timely manner
  • Clean and troubleshoot draught line issues, on occasion
  • Adhere to Ontario Beverage Alcohol Retail Store Delivery regulations and Smart Serve Regulations as set out by the AGCO
  • General brewery duties, as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:


  • Flexible schedule. Weekend availability mandatory.
  • G class drivers license and clean driving record required
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent communicator, personable, friendly and enthusiastic
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Strong communicator, personable, warm and friendly with customer service experience
  • Must be able to move cases of beer weighing 10Kg from ground level or pallets to table height to hand carts to a delivery vehicle
  • Must be able to move kegs weighing up to 140lbs between skids, hand carts, delivery vehicles and up/down staircases
  • Smart Serve & Retail Alcohol Sales certification (an asset, will train otherwise)
  • Prior delivery experience is an asset
  • Forklift certification is an asset
