As a member of an energetic, creative, collaborative, and close-knit team, the Workplace Wellbeing Coordinator will help develop and deliver workplace mental health programming to external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Workplace Wellbeing Supervisor, the Coordinator has a diverse set of tasks that engage their strong crisis response and administrative skills and will appreciate the developmental opportunities that this fast-paced role presents.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess and respond to requests for crisis and trauma services, providing consultation to organizations as appropriate. Mobilize the appropriate resources from within the EAP network and coordinate the delivery of services to the organization.
  • Provide direct clinical services including crisis counselling to individuals, as well as trauma response (e.g., CISM) and other workplace wellbeing services to organizations when required.
  • Research and be aware of current trends in workplace wellbeing.
  • Develop content based on emerging needs, trends and customization as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Collect and analyze data including client feedback to evaluate efficacy of workplace wellbeing services and needs within organizations. Prepare and deliver reports as required.
  • Provide consultation to client groups as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Facilitate presentations and participate in client group promotional activities associated with the EAP as assigned by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Postsecondary degree in a counselling, health or human services discipline together with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an EAP or clinical mental health care setting.
  • Critical incident stress debriefing and crisis intervention training and experience required.
  • Must be registered and in good standing with an appropriate professional association or regulatory body.
  • Demonstrated ability to create content (presentations, handouts) and services that meet the needs of organizations from a variety of sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a calm demeanor when experiencing unexpected changes and stressful situations, particularly when working under time and resource constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively in an interdisciplinary, teambased environment. Ability to show tact and diplomacy in dealing with others. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong emotional intelligence.
  • Highly organized individual with capacity for flexibility, having the ability to effectively reprioritize and reorganize to respond to emerging service needs on short notice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and seminar delivery are required. Ability to explain concepts/procedures clearly.


  • Hybrid schedule

  • Will be required to work a minimum number of days in the office based on the corporate hybrid work plan and department needs.
  • May be required to be oncall as part of a rotation with other members of the team to ensure immediate response to organizations who are requesting crisis and trauma services.
  • Subject to Criminal Records and Manitoba Child Abuse Registry checks.
  • Knowledge of Employee Assistance Programs is an asset.
