About the Position:

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounts Receivable Adminsitrator will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Project Billing package preparation, accounting for revenue and monitoring accounts receivable collection. Completes customer billings and works closely with the Project Manager to ensure accurate and timely submissions. Reconciles sales and accounts receivable for relevant entities.
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures and ensures all financial processes are compliant with regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules.
  • Supports external audit by providing schedules and reconciliations as required.
  • Works with the Corporate Controller in continuously finding ways to automate processes that will minimize processing time and provide management with better analytics for decision making by assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations, and implementing new processes.
  • Responsible for recording transactions, reconciling accounts as it relates to Accounts Receivable
  • Presents research findings, makes recommendations to ensure compliance
  • Registers applicable Walters' companies in new provinces and states.

Position Requirements:


Required:

A College Diploma or University Degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.


Desired:


  • Working towards an Accounting designation (CMA, CGA or CA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in accounting/finance
  • Construction industry related experience, project based accounting experience considered an asset
