North West Paving is looking to hire
Traffic Technicians for the upcoming 2023 season. We are a progressive, growing company that has operated in the Edmonton area for 50 years. We provide gravel, asphalt, and concrete services to Municipalities, General Contractors, and Developers in our community and surrounding areas.


Job Duties:


  • Set up, tear down and ongoing supervision of the traffic control measures for our worksites.
  • Placing no parking signs and barricades, and documenting their positioning.
  • Analyzing traffic volume; drawing diagrams or charts to illustrate observations; identifying and reporting hazardous conditions to determine proper placement of signs based on analysis of speed zones and traffic conditions.
  • Coordinating placement of flag personnel with crews on site.
  • Preparing clear, concise, and legible documents and reports.
  • Work jointly with Supervisors, Project Coordinators and Foreman to provide support services and solutions insuring all aspects of safe traffic control and site security are met.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of materials such as signs, cones, barricades, etc.

Requirements:


  • Must be able to work alone or with limited supervision.
  • Must be physically fit and able to be on your feet for long hours.
  • Must possess a _
    valid class 5 licence_ with a clean driving abstract.
  • Must uphold the company's safety standards.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Job Types:
Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour
