Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher for a road construction company, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation of goods and materials. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for logistics to contribute to our supply chain operations.

Job Summary
Equipment / Material Dispatcher for a Road Construction Company

Manage equipment between jobs with 2 lowboy drivers; Communicate with foreman on hired trucks, ordering and delivery of job material; Work with shop manager on routine equipment maintenance; Yard management; Oversee fuel truck driver.

Typical work week is 60-70 hours

Shop location 20 Turbo Drive, Sherwood Park AB

Responsibilities and Duties

Communicate with all foremen and superintendents on equipment needs; schedule with 2 lowboy drivers to delivery on the equipment needs. Hiring 3rd party lowboy services when needed
Keep track of 200 + pieces of equipment between job locations; equipment is tracked on B2W schedule
Ordering and delivery of job materials like/but not limited to; geotêxtiles, frames and covers, concrete rings, yard gravel, etc.
Ordering and tracking of job site portapotties
Overseeing fuel truck to ensure proper equipment servicing
Coordinating hired on trucks (tandems, end dumps, etc) for foremen
Keeping the shop yard clean of garbage material and organizing yard for year end freeze up
