Description

Pacific Coast Heavy Truck Group, a full-service, commercial truck dealer in the Lower Mainland and the interior of British Columbia, has officially acquired Berk's Intertruck Ltd.


Founded in 1971, Berk's Intertruck operates on Vancouver Island and has grown to become one of the most respected dealer groups in Canada representing Volvo Trucks, Isuzu Trucks, and Felling Trailers.


Responsibilities:


  • Forecasts goals and objectives for the department.
  • Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, counsels and supervises the performance of parts staff.
  • Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with demand.
  • Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover.
  • Ensures that parts inventory turns at agreed upon intervals.
  • Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction standards for customers.
  • Analyzes sales, expenses, and inventory to maintain profit goals.
  • Works with team members to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  • Confronts issues, makes decisions and resolves conflicts.
  • Establishes partnership relationships with vendors to support their success.
  • Enforces safety requirements, processing of MSDS sheets on all products carried.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with all regulations that may affect parts sales.
  • Establishes and maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of performing assigned duties.
  • Keeps work area safe and clean.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:


  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • University or College Diploma/Certificate is preferred.
  • Parts Red Seal Certificate is an asset.
  • Valid BC Drivers License/ Clean Driving Abstract.
  • Strong organization, analytical, administrative and leadership skills.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Strong team leader, able to delegate workloads amongst all staff as well as offer insight.
  • Use initiative and sound independent judgement within general policy guidelines.
  • Past experience working in a dealership environment is considered an asset
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion and to be entrusted with confidential information
