Accounts Payable Clerk - Langley, Canada - PACIFIC COAST HEAVY TRUCK GROUP
Description
Pacific Coast Heavy Truck Group is actively looking for anAccounts Payable Clerk to join our Langley Headquarters.
This is a 12-18 month contract position to cover a maternity leave, but has the potential to become permanent.
The AP Clerk will be responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts payable function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process cheque requests and expense reports
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
- Audit and process credit card bills
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries
- Provide reception relief as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma and Associate's degree in Accounting preferred
- 12 years experience with accounts payable or general accounting
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- High degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong analytic abilities
- Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential
Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract
