Machine operator (Level 2) / Isowa Take Off
You live in the
West part of Ottawa and want to work at a

How can you contribute to our success?

This is a very active role at the end of the machine to perform the bundle stacking and preparing loads.

Some orders are fast-paced and some days we do several different tasks, which means there is downtime between tasks to prepare for the next one, clean the area, etc.

We also have to help wherever needed due to demand.

Position Summary:

Set up production equipment
Feed corrugated sheets into equipment
Unitize loads at the end of machine
Prepare, clean and return tooling/print plates to and from storage
Strip scrap from boxes
Bale scrap / Sweep / Housekeeping / Keep a clean safe working area
Palletize / Unitize product
Count at inventory
Complete Quality Reports and all other required documentation
Perform all other tasks assigned by Supervisor
Ability to
read and
interpret Smith Induspac drawings and specifications
Have
basic computer skills:
Are fluent with
basic measurement devices in Metric/Imperial and
conversion capabilities
Comfortable in a
fastpaced work environment

Working Conditions:
The position requires continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside, work around machinery.

Training Opportunity:

If needed, we may train you later on the machine feeding and some set-up parts and we will show some functions of other machines.
