St Barbara is searching for great people like you to fill a Heavy Equipment Technician position (full-time, permanent) at our open-pit gold mine in Moose River Gold Mines, NS.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay: $41.97/hour
  • Healthcare & dental plan and RRSP (after probation)
  • 80 hours of vacation (after probation); more after 1 year
  • Overtime hours available

Schedule

  • Fulltime hours/week)
  • 4 days on, 4 days off
  • 12hour shifts, 6:00 am 6:00 pm

Duties

  • Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair all mining equipment, such as trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, light plants, water pumps, and light vehicles.
  • Maintain and analyze predictive maintenance data.

Requirements:


  • Red Seal as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Truck and Transport Mechanic
  • Valid driver's license, minimum Class 5 or equivalent
  • Ability to do physical labour for extended periods
