The Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for guests to Canadian Tire's Home Office, both in person and on the phone.

They provide exceptional customer service that is aligned with the Canadian Tire brand and is responsible for checking guests in, ensuring the host is aware of their guests' arrival and fielding all phone calls to the main switchboard.

The Reception Coordinator is responsible for access control and visitor management as an extension of the Corporate Security team.

The Front Desk Coordinator is engaging, enthusiastic, has a passion for customer service and will go above and beyond to ensure all guests are well taken care.


What you'll do

  • Check in guests to Home Office
  • Inform the hosts of their guests' arrival
  • Ensure all security protocols are followed
  • Answer calls at main switchboard and transfer calls to correct contact or respond to questions from callers
  • Act as Meeting Room administrator
  • Recommend improved processes and structure for Reception and Switchboard that are in the best interest of the business, guests and callers
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Oversee meeting room management and ensure all are clean and wellmaintained (involves checking rooms to ensure equipment functions, spaces are clean and contain the correct number of chairs)
  • Maintain manuals, follows Standard Operating Procedures
  • In the event of a crisis, ability to maintain calm and follow process
  • Ensure message is consistent with External Communications and that proper protocols are being followed

What you bring

  • Previous experience in customer service, office administration or similar role
  • Post secondary education in Hospitality, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism,
  • Quick learner in partnership with corporate security practices
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work cohesively when escalations are necessary
  • Bilingual preferred
