Description
Oversight of the planning operations at the Retail Packaging and Display Division including the scheduling and material planning roles.

Ensures that the production facility has adequate capacity to cover demand and constantly adjusts to ensure the ratio is maintained; finds solutions for requests to insert orders into the production schedule.


What you will be doing:


  • Oversight of the production planner role and vacation replacement
  • Oversight of the material coordinator role and vacation replacement
  • Control of all expedites while monitoring machine loading and order entry (bookings) working with the production team to confirm future crewing and overtime requirements
  • Liaison between the Sales, Customer Service and Production Teams
  • Resolve any material supply issues
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Responsible to constantly monitor the situation on the production floor to smooth out demand
  • Negotiates for balanced solutions with Customer Service, Production and Sales
  • Promptly finds solutions for requests to insert orders following the insert protocol
  • React to plant breakdowns by moving orders/accounts or requesting sheet orders
  • Responsible to complete various reports, as required, including board lead time, inventory analysis on key accounts
  • Works closely with the Planner/Schedulers to coordinate expedites, balances reruns
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and performing other duties as assigned
  • Negotiate with vendors on pricing and rebates when required
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment

What you will bring to the table:

  • 3+ years of experience in such roles as inventory, scheduling, shipping, or customer service, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Corrugated experience is an asset
  • Indepth knowledge of the MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel and MS Word
  • Must be organized, detailoriented and resultsdriven
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Team player able to balance multiple priorities and make tough decisions in a timely manner
  • Ability to present themselves in a professional manner
