We are looking for a motivated professional to join our team, and provide administrative support to the Primary Health Care Branch.

What can I expect to do in this role?: Your role will include:

  • Arranging appointments, meetings and travel itineraries
  • Managing office and unit work flow
  • Receiving, prioritizing and responding to incoming calls
  • Composing correspondence and preparing reports
  • Maintaining the office action request system (receiving, logging, assigning and following up on requests)
  • Logging and tracking correspondence, and assisting in the coordination of briefing note requests

How do I qualify?:


Mandatory:


  • Typing of 40 words per minute

Your essential skills will include:


  • Proven administrative skills and the ability to manage action request systems, filing and bring forward systems
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated writing skills to compose correspondence and communicate in writing
  • People skills to interact effectively, using tact and diplomacy
  • Organizational skills to manage work flow, establish and meet priorities and deadlines
  • Analytical skills to assess issues and engage in problemsolving.

Your knowledge and abilities will include:

  • The ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently when required
  • Demonstrated ability to compile statistics, prepare reports, graphs and presentation materials.
