Position Summary:

The Cook is responsible for assisting food preparation of all outlets, by delegating duties and responsibilities to designated cooks.

This individual ensures that their workstation is clean and organized; assists with other areas of the kitchen as requested by Executive Chef or Sous Chef.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assists in the preparation of food items for all outlets.
Monitors banquet event orders and in turn anticipates business demands.
Communicates all inventory requirements to the Executive Chef.
Prepares all food items to the standards of the Executive Chef.
Keeps an extremely clean and organized work/storage space.
Demonstrates extensive industry and product knowledge.
Complies with all Health, Food and Safety Standards
Complies with Lambton Policies and Procedures
Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

1 year experience in a similar operation
Strong leadership skills and the ability to train junior kitchen personnel.
Culinary Arts Degree preferred
Knowledgeable about culinary/industry trends
Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
Highly motivated and works well with little supervision.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment.

Physical Requirements:

Able to meet physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 30lbs, and frequently bending, reaching, walking.
