Position Summary:

Assists in managing all aspects of Lambton kitchen banquet operations in a private members club. Including but not limited to ordering all food materials, ensuring quality food product and meeting member satisfaction standards.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough walkthrough of operation daily.
  • Perform banquet checks to ensure proper quality and quantity of food.
  • Check the banquet event orders to plan for the day and help kitchen staff create prep and setup lists for the day.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to assess supplies on hand, accurately gauge needs, and order new inventory as needed.
  • Requisition inventory according to sales volumes, forecasted sales, shelf life and Par stock.
  • Inspect equipment and identify maintenance issues.
  • Proficient in all cooking positions and cooking skills.
  • Communicate and educate all staff around menu items and changes.
  • Responsible for following all health food/health standards and responsible for meeting all food handling standards as set down by the public health safety authority
  • Performs other task as assigned by management.
  • Promotes a positive working environment and holds staff accountable that work against this mandate.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 25 years of similar experience, leading a culinary team; experienced leading in a private Club environment is an asset
  • Red Seal and Food Safe certification is an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Selfmotivated team player with demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, multitasking, team environment
  • Superior internal and external customer service
  • Superior communication skills
  • Able to work flexible shifts including evening shifts, weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:


  • Able to meet physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 30lbs, and frequently bending, reaching, walking.
