    Description

    Position Title: Consultant, CCRR

    Location: Vanderhoof, BC

    Terms: Permanent, Part Time

    Hours: Tuesday-Saturday; 24 hours per week (Evenings and Weekends based on program needs)

    Start Date: As soon as possible

    Rate: $35,256.00 per year + Benefits, Sick Leave and 15 paid vacation days

    Reports To: Program Coordinator, CCRR

    Situation:

    Under the guidance of the CCRR Program Coordinator, the CCRR Consultant will execute and ensure the provision of CCRR services in the Vanderhoof, BC communities

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide excellent customer service and support to individuals and organizations utilizing CCRR program services
    • Offer childcare information, consultations, and referrals to families
    • Conduct workshops, courses, programs, networking, community events, and conferences for childcare providers, early childhood educators, and parents
    • Organize and execute outreach activities to childcare providers and families, including story times in the park
    • Assist families and childcare providers in accessing the Early Learning Lending Library
    • Deliver consultation, networking, training, and resource development to childcare providers
    • Collaborate and maintain positive working relationships with other community agencies and service providers
    • Adhere to all BC Government CCRR Program Standards and YMCA BC legal requirements

    Qualifications

    • 3 years of child care experience, including direct interaction with children
    • Training and education related to child growth and development is advantageous
    • Early Childhood Educator License (IT/SN Designation is an asset)
    • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle are mandatory for the role
    • Capability to lift 15 pounds for program setup and takedown, including chairs, tables, and supplies
    • Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and manage time efficiently
    • Administrative background, customer service experience, proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office 365
    • Proficiency in additional languages is beneficial
