At Laurus camps, we live for creating unforgettable adventures for our campers, and we're on the lookout for passionate individuals to join us in achieving our goal.

Summary

The role of a Counsellor is to ensure the safety of their assigned campers and that they all are having a positive experience at camp.

It is their responsibility to relay questions and concerns regarding camper satisfaction to their assigned Counselor Leader.

Responsibilities

Organize group activities.
Supervise their group of campers.
Participate in group activities.
In case of emergency, provide First Aid.
Discipline campers if need be.
Communicate information regarding camper satisfaction concerns to Lead Counselors.

Qualifications

Experience working with children and families is an asset.
Great Communication, Patience and Enthusiasm Skills.
Available to work fulltime during summer (minimum 30 hours per week for 6 weeks)
Bilingual (English required & French preferred
French might be required pending on camp location)

Schedule and Job Type

Part-Time for Off-Season, Full-Time for On-Season
Part-Time for trainings depending on camp worked
Full-Time Availabilities for camp:

Winter Break Camp:
December 27, 2023 to January 5, 2024

March Break Camp:
March - March 8, 2024

Summer Break Camp:
June 2- August 23, 2024
