The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work in a hybrid work environment with the ability to report to company headquarters located in Edmonton, AB.
Primary Job Functions:
The duties of the
Talent Acquisition Specialist include:
- Responsible to create, advertise, and manage job requisitions based on current staffing needs
- Coordinate, schedule, and conduct virtual and inperson interviews with hiring managers
- Provide support, advice, and guidance to hiring managers specifically related to recruitment and selection
- Maintain the applicant's tracking system and employee personal files
- Participate in weekly forecast meetings
- Track and report on recruiting metrics to determine efficiencies and areas for improvement
- Provide administrative and office support to the Human Resources team as required
- Represent the Company at career fairs, recruitment events, etc. as required
- Ensure company policies, processes, procedures, and applicable legislation are adhered to during the recruitment process
- Responds to general employee inquiries
- Ensure confidentiality of information and materials is maintained
- Other duties as assigned by the company from time to time
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Completion of a postsecondary diploma in Human Resources or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum of three years of fullcycle recruitment experience in a fastpaced, multilocation environment; an equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
- Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation is considered an asset
- Exposure to various recruitment technology tools including applicant tracking systems, internet sourcing platforms, social media channels, etc.
- Proficiency in behavioral interviewing methodologies, competencybased techniques, and/or other selection and assessment tools
- Proven ability to manage multiple timelines and projects on an ongoing basis
- Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate effectively and build relationships throughout the organization
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint) & Internet
- Knowledge of relevant Employment legislation, acts, and regulations as well as employee and labour relations trends and issues
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality on a daily basis
- Demonstrated problemsolving skills and analytical ability
- Selfmotivated, service and result oriented
- Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team
- Previous experience recruiting for an airline is considered an asset
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) Certification is an asset or working towards
- Clear criminal record check
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.
