We Are Looking For
A General Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the successful management of our diverse portfolio of properties.

This full-time, permanent position reports to the Vice-President, Melcor Properties and is a key member of our team.


What You'll Do
Provide leadership to your team and outstanding customer service to tenants while managing a portfolio of properties


This includes:

  • Ensure portfolio and divisional objectives are met
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to a team of property managers and support staff
  • Take a leadership role in portfolio matters such as real tax, utility procurement, and insurance
  • Collaborate with the team to oversee a prioritized 5year capital expenditure budget
  • Develop the overall strategic plan for operating budgets
  • Implement best practices for customer service, preventative maintenance, and daytoday property management across the portfolio
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including partners and shareholders, as needed

About You

  • You have 710 years experience in a commercial real estate managerial role
  • You have expert knowledge with: Lease documentation, budgeting/financial practices, negotiations, and managing retail properties
  • You have a postsecondary degree or diploma in Business, accreditation from the industry, or relevant experience
  • You possess strong interpersonal skills and are able to build lasting business relationships
  • Your communication, conflict resolution and project management skills are exceptional
  • You have strong financial acumen, including budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
  • You have excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
