The Health Data Analyst is responsible for extracting, manipulating, interpreting, analyzing and explaining health-related data from local, provincial and federal data sources.

The Health Data Analyst will support Geographical Information Systems (GIS) development and use within the agency. This position will provide professional advice and support on the creation and implementation of appropriate data gathering instruments.

The Health Data Analyst position will investigate, analyze and develop methods, processes and procedures to increase the efficiency of health database use by end-users, and to achieve and maintain a high level of data quality.


Hours of Work:


Regular office hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm


Position Effective:

September 5, 2023


Requirements:


  • 4 Year Undergraduate Degree in research data related field
  • Minimum 3 year practical work related experience.
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Mapping Skills
  • Communication Skills including Presentation and Writing Skills
  • Technical Skills, Computer Programming Skills, Database Management
  • Data Interpretation Skills, Data Manipulation
  • Generation of Reports, Performance Statistical Analysis.
  • Epidemiological Skills
  • Problem Solving/Troubleshooting
  • Time Management, Organizational Skills
  • Knowledge Exchange skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
