ABOUT YOU

  • Creating and maintaining schedules to ensure shift times, accounts and pay codes are correct and uptodate;
  • Assisting supervisors in creating and maintaining schedules, and providing coaching and guidance to support accurate preparation and approval of timecards;
  • Supporting the timecard approval process; running reports to identify issues and validating data accuracy; followingup with supervisors; and ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely upload of approved timecards to the payroll system;
  • Investigating, troubleshooting and resolving routine software problems;
  • Providing ongoing coaching and guidance to supervisors and staff;
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation of software, procedures, files and reports;
  • Handling confidential data with care;
  • Providing support to staff and supervisors with queries and questions, including running summary reports, highlighting issues, investigating/reconciling anomalies and providing supervisors with reports for review and approval; and
  • Other related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

You have completed Grade 12 supplemented by courses related to the work plus some related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

A valid BC Class 5 driver's license is required.

This is a regular full-time position for 35 hours per week. The pay for this unionized position starts at $26.34 per hour (2021 rate).

This position has a pay structure with five steps which increase from Step 1 to 2 after 6 months and annually for the following steps.


All employees should be available to work at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location and are required to submit a Police Record Check as a requirement of the position prior to any appointment.
