SCOPE


Working closely with the land development team, you will assist Development Managers in the day-to-day management of multiple high-rise development projects through the entitlement process for existing and future developments.

You will work collaboratively within the Development Department, and with other departments, to successfully carry projects from acquisition through to zoning and site plan approvals.

Your ability to stay organized while multitasking will be integral in assisting the team's Development Managers throughout the entitlement process, contributing to the overall success of each project.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drafting & circulating RFPs and creating levelling sheets.
  • Assist Development Managers in coordinating project activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and ensuring timely completion of action items.
  • Managing information/communication flow between Development Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring that all parties are kept informed of project progress and updates.
  • Maintaining project schedules and monitoring progress against milestones and assist in identifying and addressing potential schedule risks or delays.
  • Research and support in due diligence process.
  • Contract management, creating Purchase Orders and Change Orders

Budget Monitoring:

assist in tracking project expenses, purchase orders, and invoices, and collaborate with the Development Managers to ensure budget adherence and identify cost-saving opportunities.


  • Monitoring Planning & Development policy changes and industry trends, assess impacts to active and future files, and reporting this information back to the team.
  • Monitor municipal council meetings, as needed and report back to team.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Development Managers, including archiving and organizing project files, report and drawing review and commentary, preparing reports and presentations, assisting with quarterly scheduling, and reporting.
  • Performing other projectrelated tasks as needed.

SKILLS

  • A team player, able to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others and willing to work in a supporting role.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) with confidence to communicate with team members, consultants, and municipal staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with an attention to detail and an ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Quick learner with drive to learn and grow within the team
  • Analytical problem solver who views challenges and obstacles as opportunities
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Post-Secondary Degree in either Planning, Architectural or Civil Engineering preferred.
  • 15 years of experience with a highrise builder/developer in a similar role.
