Position Summary
Your goal in this position is to support the planning, development and implementation of key projects within the organization, You will be a critical resource to work with leaders across the organization in developing and leading projects, using project management best practices, and building strong relationships with internal and external partners.
You will be the primary point of contact for the critical projects that they will be leading and will report to the Director Cancer Care, Cardiology, and Critical Care Programs.
You're also highly organized, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.This position supports the Hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation.
This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families.
On a practical level, you willBe responsible for the effective planning and implementation of strategic organizational projects
Lead, organize and facilitate strategy development and project-related meetings, develop project reports and maintain project plans, presentations, statistics and other related documents, as required
Build and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders and provide effective written and verbal communication
Proactively identify any task and project risks and recommend solutions and mitigation strategies
Ensure task and project deliverables are met on time, within budget and within scope
Be responsible for helping evolve North York General Hospital's Project Management methodology
Mentor and coach team members on project management principles
During critical times of any project implementation, you may be required to work off-hours and/or non-business hours
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business-related discipline
PMP designation an asset
Great understanding of Ontario healthcare landscape
Minimum 3 years' experience in project leadership and management
Clinical experience in acute care, cardiology, and/or nephrology an asset
Strong computer skills, including demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite, including MS Project
Project management skills, with extensive knowledge of project management principles and tools
Extensive knowledge with business process design, impact analysis, change management and problem resolution
Bilingualism in French/English an asset

This is a Full-Time Temporary position for 18 months, with required 8 hours shifts, day shifts.We offer a highly competitive total compensation package which may include benefits, pension, vacation pay, or pay in lieu of benefits, when applicable.
