**Driver + General labor

  • Job Description**
    Overview: Responsible for the ensuring the work in process or finished good are transported to and from locations in a safe manner.

Duties

  • Maintenance: An applicant will need to make sure that the company vehicle is clean, kept in good condition and up to date with service requirements
  • Record keeping: It is important to log incoming and outgoing trips helps to keep track of the successful delivery of products.
  • Packing the vehicle: A successful job applicant will need to be able to pack products or equipment properly within the vehicle
  • Collections: Responsible for collecting signatures to prove a successful delivery or issue receipts for delivery payments
  • Go to job sites and coordinate with staff to unload materials
  • Take and bring back material from subcontractors
  • Pick up skids of raw materials.

Qualities Required:


  • Demonstrate safe driving practices
  • Able to follow verbal directions, read maps, follow GPS
  • Able to work well alone
  • Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties
  • Able to adapt to changing schedules or routines
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Physically able to lift and carry object up from 30 to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$17.00-$18.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Scarborough, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- delivery driving: 1 year (preferred)
