Working in collaboration with our established Edmonton team, you will be providing valuable services to unemployed Albertans.
You will be responsible for providing day to day leadership to staff, and fostering collaborative relationships with existing services/programs while developing new service streams/offerings.
- Maintain funder relationships, contract deliverables, outcomes, and reporting
- Promote services as necessary and ensures appropriate client volumes are achieved
- Monitor services to ensure high quality and client/employer satisfaction
- Provide recommendations on modifications to service design to the related manager
- Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Team Lead will oversee and ensure completion of funder reports
- Assists Program Manager(s) by leading or participating in team meetings
- Supervise and coordinate staff:
- Coordinate program schedules and ensure implementation
- Coordinate team, workloads and caseloads to make sure tasks are completed on time and to a high quality
- Provide guidance and support to the team with complex client and/or employer and workplace training situations
- You will be involved in the community and will work to establish new employer and stakeholder relationships as well as maintain current connections
What does it take to do this job?
- A postsecondary education, 3+ years' experience in a similar role that is directly related to business development (equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered)
- 3+ years' client relations with direct experience relating with a broad demographic
- 12 years' leadership or supervisory experience required
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and presentation software; advanced proficiency with internet, online, and social media platforms
- Exceptional oral communication, team work, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of and experience using career exploration tools and websites, with the ability to assist clients in synthesizing and analyzing information to develop realistic action plans and job targets
- Experience accessing local labour market information and tools
- Elevated written communication and content development experience
- Experience leading/facilitating different formats of meetings, workshops and presentations to various audiences of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to create analytical reports, develop and utilize spreadsheets, conduct needs and gap analyses, collect and analyze stats, and action results from findings
- Capability to set goals for one's self and team develop their goals
- Knowledge/experience/exposure/education working with varying populations (unemployed, low income, mental health, youth)

- Travel is required for this role throughout Alberta. A valid drivers license is required.
