Responsibilities:

Accounting

  • Participate in quarterly and annual close processes;
  • Participate in the optimization of document storage on Sharepoint;
  • Assist with the annual external assurance requirements;
  • Verify cost information according to Firm procedures;

Billing

  • Verify billing system information according to Firm procedures;
  • Validate and input data as part of the monthly billing cycle;
  • Participate in the streamlining and automation of the monthly billing cycle;

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Participate in preparation of annual forecasts, budgets and multiyear plans;
  • Assist in analyzing and interpreting monthly budget variances with actual results;
  • Provide ongoing support to the Director of Finance;
  • Provide information to internal clients relating to KPIs, both regular and adhoc basis;
  • Contribute to enhancing and developing analysis, models, reports and dashboards by leveraging PowerBI and other reporting tools.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to continue to meet operational requirements

Required Knowledge and Experience:


  • An accounting, management information systems or finance degree, coupled with minimum three years' experience in financial analysis
  • Expertlevel proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerBI (Power Query an asset)
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Experience with BigTime or Sharepoint, an asset
  • Experience analyzing financial data and preparing internal financial reports, analyses and projections.
