Description
Great Blue Resorts owns and operates 8 private resort lakefront properties located throughout Ontario's cottage country. These properties offer outright ownership of beautiful pre-manufactured seasonal recreational cottages. Our resorts have full facilities including community areas, swimming pools, splash pads, multi-sports courts, playgrounds and beaches.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities


Responsibilities:


  • Grounds Maintenance 70%
a. General clean up including raking leaves, debris removal, garbage removal
b.

All grounds maintenance tasks including but not limited to mowing greens, tee, fairways, rough, resort lawns, weed trimming, raking sand traps, trimming trees and shrubs, tending to gardens, etc.

c. Hole changing, tee block placement and other tasks for course setup
d. Safe operation of ground maintenance equipment and timely completion of maintenance records (SiteDocs, fuel logs)


  • Customer Service 20%
a. Providing friendly and professional service to customers and owners
b. Giving directions, recommendations, and problem solving
c. Building a positive customer relationship with repeat and new golfers


  • Event Staff 10%
a. Helping in the set up and tear down of special events
b. Providing friendly service to owners and customers
c. Aid fellow employees


  • Work with Golf Course Superintendent and General Maintenance
a. Complete maintenance reports as required by management
b. Report to the Golf Course Superintendent and/or maintenance issues or concerns
c. Relay customer feedback and any methods of improvement
d. Work with a team to maintain a prestigious golf course and resort grounds


Requirements:


  • Ability to work safely in a fastpaced environment
  • Possess a strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work individually or in a teamoriented environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Available to work early mornings (6am) and occasional weekends and holidays
  • Previous golf/grounds maintenance experience is an asset but not a requirement
