Pickering Casino Resort is seeking two (2) Part-time Beverage Servers


Under the general direction of the Food and Beverage Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of all sections of the Floor (gambling area) and related guest services through effective time management.

The Beverage Server will be responsible for providing gracious level of service to guests to support guest satisfaction.

This role must contribute to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and must demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Above all else, this role must lead by example to create Great Experiences and Memories for all guests and colleagues

  • Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service.
  • Take beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our pointofsale system which relays orders to the bar
  • Deliver beverages from the bar to guests in a timely matter. Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy
  • Help to maintain clean service areas.
  • Be knowledgeable with the current food and beverage programs, and other restaurant functions and services in the premise. Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
  • Anticipates operational and service issues before they escalate, troubleshoots and resolves guest concerns before they are complaints.
  • Adheres to all AGCO, GCGC, departmental and HR policies as they relate to functions of the role;
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations;
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • At least one (1) or more years' experience as a server or beverage host working in a fast-paced environment
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent working experience;
  • Valid Smart Serve Certificate required;
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service and communication skills;
  • Must be peoplefocused and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Proactive and solution oriented with a drive to succeed.
  • Demonstrate strong initiative, active listening and teamwork skills.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fastpaced environment;
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
