Inflector is in search of a hazardous materials supervisor to oversee the daily operations on site.


Role Description
As the Hazardous Materials Supervisor, you will oversee and ensure the daily progress of projects.

This would include duties such as daily progress reports, assigning tasks to workers, prepping abatement and demolition work sites, preparing for inspections, ensuring compliance with provincial acts and regulations and completion of daily site safety documentation.


Responsibilities

  • Prepping job sites
  • Asbestos Abatement, Mould removal & Demolition
  • Experience with power tools and mobile equipment
  • Able to meet deadlines and work in a team environment
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs unaided
  • Understanding of and compliance with Nova Scotia's Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
  • Experience with on site OH&S site documentation i.e. daily field level risk assessments, inspections and incident reporting.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and stay organized in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor
  • Ability to work as an effective team member
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships

Qualifications

  • 3 Day Asbestos Certificate required
  • At least 12 years experience in supervising hazardous materials removal required
  • Fall Arrest Protection Certificate preferred
  • First Aid Certificate preferred
  • Supervisor Training preferred
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Mold Awareness & Lead Awareness Certificate considered an asset

Salary:
$23.00-$25.00 per hour
