Director of Curriculum, Compliance and Quality, Canada


Under the direction of the Vice-President of Operations, the Director of Curriculum, Compliance and Quality, Canada is the senior academic officer for Oxford International Career Colleges, responsible for providing innovative leadership, while managing the on-ground and online academic oversight of the Colleges' programs.

This includes accreditation, approvals, program planning and review, budget assessment, student success, enrolment, fiscal accountability, curriculum development, quality and compliance.

As an expert in Curriculum, Quality and Compliance at Oxford International Education Group's Career College Canada Division, you will provide leadership, oversight and direction across all college academic programs, in 3 provinces.

You will design, revise, and standardize college programs while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure their quality and their compliance.


Academic Leadership

  • Provide leadership and oversight to all academic operations, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Advocate and promote quality instruction, student success and expansion of educational service delivery addressing the needs of students and the community
  • Act as an officer in the recruitment and selection of curriculum designers, program managers, SMEs and faculty.
  • Responsibility for overall program enrollment statistics around academic success such as retention, completion, graduation, job placements and student satisfaction.

Curriculum and Program Development

  • Design, develop and revise curricula for colleges. This includes creating lesson plans, selecting instructional materials, and defining learning objectives;
  • Identify, develop, implement and coordinate educational programs across the College.
  • Develop and maintain program certifications, including adherence to requirements to enable graduates to obtain additional credentialing. Manage academic compliance with programmatic accreditor regulations.
  • Provide training and workshops for teachers on best pedagogical practices and innovations in education;
  • Lead program review and development projects, managing deadlines, budget and resources;
  • Undertake consultation in order to bring expertise and sound advice to curriculum development and program review processes in order to ensure that the College meets/exceeds provincial regulations, standards, credential frameworks and policy directives.
  • Create a curriculum design team to develop asynchronous online content, as well as to create an engaging student experience. Work closely with the curriculum teams to meet current and emerging needs regarding academic program quality.
  • Support the integration and development of the program within the LMS
  • Collaborate with Student Services and faculty to regularly monitor student retention metrics based for proactive assessment and satisfactorily achievement.
  • Provide feedback of strategies of revisions to programs not meeting benchmarks.
  • Develop and maintain community contacts that can serve to promote the programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate admission standards to recruit and enroll academically prepared students in the program consistent with the institution's goals.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Facilitate internal quality audits and external quality audits/accreditation and related reporting.
  • Develop, implement and measure the effectiveness of processes to support academic quality in program design, development, and review.
  • Support and coordinate the handling and approval of program changes and maintain a repository of approved program reviews for each academic year.
  • Ensure that related policies and procedures are followed and support the process relating to program modification.
  • Maintain a repository of program QA (Quality Assurance) reviews, program mapping, VLOs (Vocational Learning Outcomes), retention rates, graduation rates, course failure rates, and other curriculum related data and reports.
  • Create project plans and advise the leadership team of upcoming initiatives and opportunities.
  • Provide project management leadership for academic projects relating to QA for the department including creating project plans, office liaison with other departments and tracking progress.
  • Support the development of new programs by providing leadership and direction on QA and compliance across the college with a particular responsibility for ensuring that the college continues to maintain compliance with provincial requirements.
  • Work with the Ministry to track program modifications and to receive program funding approvals.
  • Provide guidance for the preparation of additional institutional audits, including those related to international student supports.
  • Review and suggest recommendations for improvement in response to the findings and recommendations of these audits.
