Role Overview:


This role is responsible for the coordination, execution and delivery of fundraising events and programs at the local level, ensuring that these meets or exceed revenue and attendance targets.

Specifically building relationships and inspiring individuals to support the mission of through Peer-to-Peer fundraising and volunteer driven events leading individuals into deeper levels of engagement and support.

This role includes, but not limited to:
Fundraising/Revenue Generation

  • Actively identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospective PeertoPeer hosts and supporters with a focus on retention and acquisition.
  • In partnership with Manager and Director: set, monitor, and achieve event revenue and participation goals.
  • Solicit and manage third party fundraising events, maximize revenue and efficiencies.
  • Solicit sponsorships up to $5,000.
Corporate/Community Engagement and Networking

  • Provide firstline customer service for all event participants.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders for continued engagement.
  • Ensure consistent, meaningful, yearround stewardship for all peertopeer fundraising participants and volunteer leaders.
Event Management

  • Support event hosts for both third party fundraising events and peertopeer fundraising with best practices and logĂ­stical support to maximize their fundraising potential.
  • Collaborate with the regional and national teams to identify fundraising events and develop implementation plans for event maximization and execution at the local level.
  • Coordinate and execute events within the expense budget.
  • Evaluate return on investment and implement improvements to achieve higher impact and return at future events.
  • Anticipate and plan for future events, trends, problems, and opportunities.
  • Postsecondary education in a relevant program
  • Work experience in fundraising, sales, event coordination, with a focus on peertopeer fundraising
  • Demonstrated experience managing large events and working with volunteers
  • Experience with Luminate, Raiser's Edge or other fundraising software an asset
  • Strong communication skills including inperson, virtual platforms and telephone
  • Experience with digital technology
