Looking for a FOOD SERVICE WORKER/DIETARY AIDE for an Italian Long Term Care home


Preference will be given to individuals who have successfully completed their Food Handlers Certificate from Public Health Unit and is current.

3 dose-Vaccination, Police check and TB testing required.

STUDENT Friendly _(18+ only require Public Health Food Handler Certificate)

  • Responsibilities include: setting, clearing, cleaning of dishes portioning meal items as per resident/nursing request; making tea and coffee; laundry and waste removal
  • Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must demonstrate proper food preparation and presentation for a variety of cultural preferences.
  • Must be knowledgeable about the Long-Term Care Act
  • Must be knowledgeable of special, therapeutic, and texture modified diets
  • Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift.
  • Must be able to work accurately, quickly, and safely.
  • Must be an effective team player that works well with others.
  • Must be able to work and communicate effectively with longterm care residents.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 28-35 per week


Salary:
From $16.86 per hour
