is looking for a Full-Time, dedicated team players with asphalt finishing experience in the construction industry, who are hardworking, take pride in their work, and have knowledge of industry safety standards, procedures and working as a team player with other to execute tasks as assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Operate asphalt roller to pack and finish asphalt to meet quality standards and specifications as instructed by crew foreman to ensure daily schedules are met.
Hand place asphalt obtaining proper depth, grade and finish.
Operate asphalt loot to obtain proper grade and finish.
Observe the distribution of paving material along the screed and control the direction of the screed to eliminate voids at curbs and joints.
Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate other equipment and new positions required on an asphalt crew.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ability to complete job on time with attention to detail and emphasis on craftsmanship.
Thorough understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving.
Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees and subcontractors to adopt safety as a culture.

Experience & Requirements:

Experience in Heavy Construction considered an asset.
Asphalt finishing experience minimum 2 years.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments.
Be willing to work long hours and weekends when necessary.
Communication skills: Ability to communicate with supervisors, coworkers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner.
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean driving abstract is a must. Class 3/with air is an asset.
