Service & Parts Advisor - Saskatoon, SK


Westvac is has an immediate opening for a highly motivated and dependable, full-time seeking Service & Parts Advisor at our Saskatoon branch location.

This role is considered entry-level and would be ideal for someone who is wants to learn and grow within this specialized industry while using their previous experience as a Service & Parts person to pursue a career with Westvac Industrial.

As this position will be based out of Saskatoon, it will involve working with our team in Saskatchewan to support customers throughout the entire region.


The ideal individual for this role would consider themselves a personable self-starter with an appetite for knowledge and professional growth.

As this is a key position within our Saskatoon branch, we are seeking someone who accepts responsibility and craves the opportunity to succeed and grow alongside the company.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Field customer calls and provide exceptional customer service
  • Contribute consistent and positive support to customers and internal team members in a busy partsdepartment.
  • Source and order parts for customers from a variety of vendors as well as searching for alternative options
  • Help cultivate work orders and external invoices, ensuring great communication with team members and customers.
  • Utilize electronic parts catalogues, parts/unit reference books, and internal computer systems to source information.
  • Accurate use of company CRM computer system for tracking customer related activities and trends.
  • Remain organized in duties related to inventory management, including bin creation and allocation, yearend counts, and performing adjustments.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties including; the operation of a forklift, unloading/loading trucks, part number identification/retention, picking up parts from local suppliers, and processing product transfers/sales.
  • Process orders, complete credit returns and transaction reconciliations, and accurately complete all stock transfers.
  • Will work with manufactures on warranty claims
  • Will be involved in managing and billing technician's hours
  • Scheduling technician's mobile repairs on site
  • Invoicing and receiving parts and technicians service work
  • General office duties with multitasking of daily operations

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Previous experience in a Parts & Service role, preferably one year
  • Previous experience in a Shipping/Receiving role
  • A mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electromechanical parts would be considered an asset
  • Effective computer skills with experience in various programs (Outlook, MS Suite)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal
  • A topnotch attitude with an eagerness to learn
  • A strong work ethic is a necessity
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask
  • Must have a valid driver's license and provide a clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Bonus Experience:


  • Registered Parts Technician Apprentice
  • Experience in a Service Writer role would be considered an asset
  • Experience working with a maintenance shop and service team
  • Experience in an insidesales role
