Westvac has three divisions carrying an extensive product line, including heavy duty lifts, automotive lifts, wheel servicing equipment, Hydro-excavators, Street Sweepers, Garbage Trucks, Fire Apparatus and a variety of other equipment.

Lift Technician - Surrey, BC
Westvac is looking for a highly motivated and dependable full-time Lift/Hoist Technician.

The right individual would be responsible for maintaining, inspection, and servicing our customer's automotive lifts/hoists, wheel servicing equipment, and other garage equipment.

This includes installations and equipment deliveries/training.

This position requires accuracy with paperwork, the ability to sort and maintain an accurate stock level on a service vehicle and have the ability to troubleshoot problems in the field.

A company service vehicle (for work purposes only) will be provided along with a laptop and cell phone.

This position will be based out of our Surrey location servicing automotive and HD maintenance garages throughout British Columbia. The position will cover the lines Stertil-Koni Lifts, Challenger Lifts, Bodyguard Imaging System, Balcrank, and others. Westvac services all makes and models

Qualifications

Experience as a remote technician
Experience with lifts/hoists is a large plus
Experience with alignment machines, tire changers, and wheel balancers is a large plus.
Ability to read and decipher electrical wiring diagrams
Knowledge of pneumatics and pneumatic systems
Knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic systems
Knowledge of electrical systems
Mechanical aptitude
Millwright experience would be an asset
Read, write and speak fluent English
Class 5 Drivers License with clean abstract
Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

$27 - $34 Hourly Wage (Dependent on experience)
