WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?


The Assistant Coordinator, Volunteers reports to the Manager, Event operations and volunteers and is responsible for supporting the National Bank Open Volunteer Program which consists of over 1200 Volunteers.


  • Maintain communication with Volunteers and Committee Heads
  • Maintain and update the Volunteer database
  • Assist with all volunteer creative needs (handbook, invitations, pocket guide, volunteer video etc)
  • Assist in the coordination of volunteer awards, gifts and prizing
  • Assist in preparing the Volunteer welcome packages (welcome letters, role descriptions, shift schedule templates)
  • Assist in the planning, coordination and interviewing at the Volunteer Fairs and Ballcrew Tryouts
  • Assist in the organization of background checks and safe screening for Volunteers
  • Assist Committee Heads with the scheduling of Volunteers for the tournament
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of Volunteer orientation/training and package pick ups

WHO YOU ARE?

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Effective time management, organization and computer skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast passed environment
  • The flexibility to work as required within the time commitment requirements necessary for special events
